A Day on the Green: Poway Chamber Golf Event Recap
Last week’s Poway Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was a fantastic success, and we were honored to be recognized as the nonprofit beneficiary of a portion of the event’s net proceeds. In return, our dedicated volunteers stepped up to assist with registration and bring some extra fun to the 3rd tee. A huge shoutout to Bill Watson, Les Smith, Lisa Lingham, John Lingham, Melissa Walker, Harry Kimball, Kevin Griffith, Beth Galloway, Neil Tarzy, John Faustino, Ken Post, John Couvrette, Lynn Beavers, and ELLEN STARR, who served as the 3rd tee coach, award presenter, and photographer. Your enthusiasm and support made the day even more special! It was a beautiful day on the course, and the Chamber truly appreciated the helping hands. Speaking of the 3rd tee, we hosted the Marshmallow Driving Contest, and let’s just say—it was hilarious! Who knew there were so many ways to send a marshmallow flying? The photos say it all: Lynn holding a marshmallow stuck to a tee, and John channeling his inner Happy Gilmore in an attempt to launch his fluffy projectile. From teamwork to laughter, this event embodied community spirit and generosity. We’re grateful to the Chamber for their support, and to everyone who made the day memorable. Looking forward to next year!
