Kiwanis Club of Poway—Serving Smiles at Camp Reach for the Sky!
What an unforgettable morning at Balboa Park, as the Kiwanis Club of Poway continued our proud tradition—now possibly in its 30th year—of serving breakfast on the final day of Camp Reach for the Sky! This year’s celebration may have been our best breakfast yet, thanks to the vibrant and delicious FRUIT Buffet generously provided by Mission Fed Credit Union (the photos say it all!).
🎉 Welcome, New Kiwanians! We were thrilled to have Warren Lew and his partner Lori Roads join the action by gathering pancake ingredients, while Devan England and his daughter Asahi brought juice and served it with contagious smiles. It’s wonderful to see new members jump in and make a difference right away!
🎒 Team Effort in Full Swing A huge shout-out to John Couvrette for hauling the gear, and to Lynn B. for making sure Bob B. arrived in style! The morning wouldn’t have been complete without our dedicated team: Alyssa Soto and the Princess Court, Ken Post, Beth Galloway, John Rigby, Harry Kimball, Neil Tarzy, Steve Ewart, and Mike Celeste—thank you all for your time, energy, and community spirit!
🤣 Flipping Highlights Special mention to Warren for powering through three “misflips” with a left-handed spatula… despite being right-handed. (Just kidding, Warren—you were awesome! But 10-year-old Asahi England and the Princesses may have set the flipping gold standard!)
🍓 A Colorful & Nutritious Touch Major thanks to Brit Levy and Mission Fed Credit Union for turning breakfast into a fruit-filled fiesta! The vibrant spread added a healthy, eye-catching boost to the celebration.
💙 Here’s to another successful year at Camp Reach for the Sky! Thank you, Team Kiwanis, for bringing joy, nourishment, and laughter to this meaningful tradition. #PowayKiwanis #CampReachForTheSky #FruitBuffetFun #CommunityInAction #MakingADifference
